Fish FAQs

Wisconsin born James Robert Gammon devoted his life work to studying water pollution and the effect on the freshwaterfish population. He, two of his sons, and many devoted students, spent many summers on midwest freshwater streams conducting the studies. 'Tho my interests have taken me elsewhere, I am forever effected by Dr. Gammon's commitment to preserving the environment so often taken for granted.

Gammon Overview
Gammon is my paternal heritage and O'Beirne my maternal. My parents - James R. Gammon and Carolyn Patricia O'Beirne - met and married in Wisconsin. I am ever amazed that they were able to put themselves through college as they raised 4 young children. Their commitment to education is unmatched, although their judgement should be questioned!

There's a long line of teachers and preachers on both the Gammon and O'Beirne sides of the family. The geneology section traces the respective family ancestries, and intermixes family photos, legends, and written accounts. It's funny...as a kid, I was never told the most exciting parts!!!
